Experience has shown that when your budget is intact, and functioning correctly, everything else takes care of itself (the bills are paid on time, retirement contributions are made, and unnecessary debt is eliminated). The software is built around Four Rules of Cash Flow. These Four Rules will help you maximize the value of every dollar, get out of debt, save for retirement, and reach your other financial goals. Where other software packages tend to be the products of years of feature creep, YNAB Pro offers you exactly what you need: a simple, straightforward system to manage your money.

Frankly, I don’t get all of the glowing reviews. I got the software, installed it, and started keeping track of everything. I got to the point where I opened up the app to enter the days receipts and when I pulled up the reports I said to myself, “Yeah, I knew that”, and haven’t opened the application since then.

This is the most stupid and useless software I have ever seen. Don’t waste your money.

Honestly, I haven’t tried the other ones that are available, so I don’t know how this one compares. It seems fairly user friendly. I’m just bitter because the day after I spent a few hours identifying each bank transaction I had so that the software could organize my expenditures, I found out my bank does all this for free with online banking enrollment. However, I haven’t tried that yet either. Good luck.

The text and info provided in a number of the reviews read like insider information with an objective of selling the product. we need reviews from objective everyday customers.

You’d be better off setting up something in a spreadsheet program. YNAB may make sense to its creator, but to make it work for my household and business I had to do so many ‘work arounds’ that it became extremely cumbersome.
