To Save Money ( And Help The Environment ) How Can I Make My Body Tolerate The Heat And Cold Better?

A Reader Asks…

When I adjust the thermostat ( in the house, car, and when it gets adjusted at work ) higher in the summer and lower in the winter to save money I get more uncomfortable and sometimes downright grouchy. Its a drag when I have to carry extra clothes along or take off extra clothes, are there better ways to help my body tolerate the temperature difference? What methods have you used to help your body adjust to and tolerate the bigger differences in temprature? Do you have any tips or tricks?

A Reader Asks…

I have a large amount of school loans ($70k) that are consolidated at 4.25%. I hear now is a good time to get lower rates on your loans and am wondering if there is a way to transfer my consolidated loans to another lender with a lower rate. Any thoughts?

Is It Better For Your Credit To Have Several Credit Cards With Moderate Limit, Or One Card With A High Limit?

A Reader Asks…

I have zero debt. I also have several credit cards. I am wondering how it will affect my credit to request the highest limit for each card, or if I should cancel all but 2 and have those with high spending limits. Along the same lines, how does “available” credit affect one’s credit score negatively or positively? If I get a $50,000 limit on a card (with 0 balance) but say, go to buy a car, will I be denied because I have too much credit out there?
