A Reader Asks…

If I receive a wire transfer of $200K from an offshore bank to my bank in Texas, how much taxes do I need pay? I got some different answers, one said 35% and some said 10% to the IRS. It wasnt clear to me.
Thanks!

How Do Taxes Work If Living In Il But Work For Company In Fl (no State Tax)?

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

A Reader Asks…

I am moving to IL where I will have to pay state taxes but will still be doing work for a company in FL where there are no state taxes. Any idea where I can find info on whether myself and company need to take out state taxes?

When Filling Taxes What Is The Difference?

Monday, August 24th, 2009

A Reader Asks…

When filling taxes what is the difference in filling head of household and filling married/jointly? I haven’t worked all year so I won’t have any W2′s. So which one should I file? Is there a difference?
